AERIAL SILKS Las Vegas
Beginner-Friendly Aerial Silks — No Circus Experience Required
What Are Aerial Silks?
Aerial silks (also called aerial fabric or tissue) is a discipline in which performers and students climb, wrap, and suspend themselves from long lengths of flowing fabric hung from the ceiling. It's visually stunning, artistically expressive, and one of the most physically demanding — and rewarding — workouts you can do.
At Shine Alternative Fitness in Las Vegas, our aerial silks classes break this art form down into approachable progressions for students at all experience levels. You don't need circus training. You don't need prior upper body strength. You just need the willingness to try something extraordinary.
Benefits of Aerial Silks Training
• Full-body strength development (especially upper body, core, and back)
• Improved grip strength and coordination
• Increased flexibility and body awareness
• Stress relief and a creative outlet
• A skill set you can build on indefinitely
What to Expect
Classes begin with a warm-up and progress through climbs, wraps, drops, and poses on the silks. Your instructor will spot and support you through each move. Class sizes at Shine are intentionally kept small so every student gets personal attention.
What to Wear
Wear form-fitting clothing that covers your legs and upper arms — leggings and a long-sleeve shirt work well. This protects your skin from fabric burn as you learn proper wrapping technique. Remove jewelry and socks before class. Intro to Aerial Fitness
