Why Shine, why Vegas

Four reasons to fly in for a Shine camp instead of an intensive in your home city.

1

Train with Cirque cast members

Our roster includes current Cirque du Soleil cast from Mystère, Michael Jackson ONE, Mad Apple, and O — plus former cast from Zumanity, recognized circus educators, and world champions. You're learning from people who perform at the highest level every week, on the Strip.

2

Watch them perform that night

Vegas is the only city in the world where you train with a Cirque cast member by morning and can watch them perform on the Strip that evening. NYC, LA, and Montreal can't do this — their best aerialists tour. Ours live and work here.

3

Cross-trained curriculum

Every camp blends the apparatus you came for with ballet, tumbling, flexibility, and contortion training — the same cross-disciplines Cirque artists draw on. You leave a better aerialist and a more complete performer.

4

Vegas as a destination

Drive in from the West Coast or fly direct from almost anywhere. Hotels are abundant and affordable compared to coastal cities. Fourteen years in business at the same southwest Las Vegas studio (Leap Day 2012). Free on-site parking, ground-level access.

Note: Every Shine camp follows the same rhythm — 12 workshops across 3 days, paced with a generous lunch break, capped at 12 students. Past schedules above show what the workshops and instructor mix look like in practice. Build Your Own Camps can follow this same rhythm if you want — but it is Dealer’s Choice. Make your own schedule, choose your disciplines, choose your instructors. The sky is the limit.

Real voices from past campers

What our campers actually said.

Pulled from the post-camp surveys we run after every Shine intensive. Unedited.

My most memorable experience is Sarah teaching me in the morning, then going to see her in O.

— Lyra Camp 2025 camper
My grip switches were the best they've ever been with Pink Puma. I learned so much — I loved learning choreo from Johanna and Talia.
— Pole Camp 2024 camper
It was really helpful to hear from different teaching styles as well as different handstand philosophies. I appreciated that we got a variety of types of classes — having tumbling and ballet and flexibility were all so helpful.
— Handstand Camp 2025 camper
Every instructor brought something unique and great in their approach. It was a well-balanced mix.
— Lyra Camp 2025 camper
I really appreciated all of the time that the instructors took with me to teach me not only technique, but to sit and talk with me. Everyone was super nice and I learned so much.

Common questions

What campers usually ask.

What level do I need to be?
Camps welcome intermediate through advanced students. Aspirational performers, working aerial and circus artists, and serious students from home studios all attend. Specific level requirements vary by apparatus — message us if you're unsure whether a camp fits your level.
How big are the camps?
Capped at 12 students per camp for direct instruction. We confirm a camp once 6 students register. We don't oversell or stack students; everyone gets meaningful contact time with each instructor.
What if I haven't trained at Shine before?
About half of every camp is travelers from out of town who have never set foot in Shine before. You're not the only first-timer in the room. We'll send you a logistics email a week before camp with everything you need to know.
Where do I stay?
Three nearby hotel recommendations are listed in the Travel & Stay section above: Durango Casino & Resort (closest to a Vegas-vibe stay without being on the Strip), Home2 Suites by Hilton, and Holiday Inn Express (both closest to the studio for a focused training trip). The Strip itself is also an option if you want full Vegas-vacation mode plus easy evening access to Cirque shows.
How do I actually pay?
After you submit the inquiry form, we confirm your spot directly. During the early bird window, a $100 deposit holds your spot; balance is due by the end of the early bird period (for the {{fullName}}, that date is {{earlyBirdEndDate}}). After early bird ends, sign-ups pay in full at registration. We don’t run camps as anonymous online checkouts — we want to know who’s coming and that the camp matches your goals before you commit.
Can I bring my whole studio team?
Yes — that's exactly what Build Your Own Camp is for. Pick the modalities, length, and intensity. Minimum 4 attendees. Inquire above or call 702.624.4099 for a quote.
Will I really be able to watch my instructor perform that night?
If your camp's instructor lineup includes current cast members of Cirque du Soleil or other shows performing on the Strip, yes — you can buy tickets to their show during your camp dates. Many campers do exactly this. We don't sell show tickets ourselves, but we'll happily tell you which of your instructors are performing where during your camp window.
Do I need my own grips/equipment?
You are welcome to bring your own equipment, but it is not required as Shine provides all rigging, lyras, poles, silks, mats, and props. Most campers bring whatever grips they prefer for their apparatus. You should bring: water bottle, athletic clothes appropriate for your apparatus, ballet shoes or socks if relevant, and snacks/lunch (we have a fridge and water fountain on site).
What is the minimum age for Shine training camps?
For Shine's regularly scheduled themed camps (Lyra, Pole, Aerial Silks, Handstand, etc.), the minimum age is 12. Most attendees are adults, but capable young aerialists and circus arts students 12 and up are welcome alongside the adult cohort. For Build Your Own Camps, we can accommodate younger groups — minimum age 8 — depending on the discipline and the group's skill level.
What's the refund/cancellation policy?
During the early bird window, a $100 deposit holds your spot; balance is due by the end of the early bird period (for the {{fullName}}, that date is {{earlyBirdEndDate}}). After early bird ends, sign-ups pay in full at registration. Deposits are refundable up until the end of the early bird period — that is when Shine confirms whether the camp has hit the minimum to run. After the early bird period closes, deposits become non-refundable.
How do I get to Shine from the airport?
Shine is at 6415 S Tenaya Way, Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89113 — about 15 minutes from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and 15 minutes from the Strip. Free on-site parking. Most travelers rideshare from the airport (about $20–25) or rent a car for the duration of camp.
Can I attend Shine’s regular classes or open training during my camp?
Yes. Camp participants are welcome to attend Shine’s regular scheduled classes or open training sessions during your camp dates at reduced rates. Many campers add an evening class or extra studio time to extend their training day. We’ll include reduced-rate details in your registration confirmation.
