OPEN SPACE — PRACTICE ON YOUR OWN

Self-directed studio time at Shine. Drop in to drill what you learned in class, prep for an audition, or train solo on pole, aerial silks, lyra, aerial yoga, or floor work. Three rooms — Aerial Studio, Pole Studio, Dance Studio — available to members and non-members alike. No instructor present, just you and the apparatus.

Who is this for?

Shine students who want extra practice time outside class. Working performers in Las Vegas — Cirque cast, freelance aerialists, audition-prep practitioners. Outside instructors who want to teach private lessons in a professional aerial-equipped space (separate pricing — see below). Self-directed students who already have technique and just need the apparatus.

How Open Space Works — First-Come, First-Served

Open Space is not reservable. Even when the live calendar shows a studio is open, the room could already be full when you arrive — capacity is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk in, sign in at the front desk, and you're set if there's space. If the room you want is full, you can wait or try another available studio.

Purchases happen at the studio. Drop-in passes, 10-packs, and monthly memberships are paid for in-person at the front desk — not online through this page. Just stop by during studio hours or call 702.685.1864 ahead.

OUTSIDE INSTRUCTOR PRIVATE LESSONS

Bringing your own coach or teaching as an outside instructor? This is its own pricing structure.

Outside Instructor Rate — $20 / hour, per person

If you're an outside instructor teaching a private lesson at Shine, the rate is $20 per hour for every person in the room — instructor included. The instructor is responsible for arranging payment and bringing it to Shine.

Quick math: 1 instructor + 1 student × 1 hour = $40. 1 instructor + 2 students × 1 hour = $60. 1 instructor + 3 students × 1 hour = $80.

Important: Open space drop-in passes, 10-packs, and monthly memberships are for self-practice only. They cannot be applied to outside instructor lessons. Teaching in Shine's space is its own pricing tier — these are two separate revenue paths and they don't combine.

Outside instructors: contact us before your first session at 702.685.1864 or info@shinealternativefitness.com so we can confirm room availability and walk you through the process.

NEED EXCLUSIVE STUDIO ACCESS?

Open space is shared, drop-in studio time. If you need a specific room booked exclusively for a photo shoot, video shoot, audition prep, choreography rehearsal, or private practice session — that's a different service.

Studio Rental for Shoots, Private Practice & Exclusive Use

Block-book any of our three studios — Aerial Studio, Pole Studio, or Dance Studio — for a defined time window with the room to yourself. Bring a photographer, a camera crew, a choreographer, or train solo with full privacy.

Common uses: Photo shoots and headshots in the aerial or pole studio. Video content for Instagram, TikTok, audition tapes, or YouTube tutorials. Rehearsals of all kinds — choreography, audition prep, performance act run-throughs, show numbers, dance team practices, group rehearsals. Private practice sessions when you need the room quiet and to yourself. Anything else where you need a dedicated, equipped studio space without sharing.

How it differs from Open Space: Open Space is shared during scheduled hours — you use whichever studio is open. Studio Rental is exclusive — your studio, your time block, no other users in the room. Pricing depends on which studio, what time, and how long.

LIVE CALENDAR — DAILY ACCURATE

Open space hours shift day-to-day based on classes, private events, and bookings. This calendar is updated continuously and reflects the actual available hours for each studio this week. Important: the calendar shows when rooms are scheduled to be open — it does not reflect current capacity. Open space is first-come, first-served with no reservations, so even a room shown as available can fill up. Call 702.685.1864 before you come in if you want a real-time check.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is open space at Shine?

Open space is studio time when our rooms are available for self-directed practice — without an instructor present. You can use it to prep for an audition, drill skills you learned in class, or train independently in pole, silks, lyra, aerial yoga, or floor work.

Do I have to be a Shine class member to use open space?

No. Open space is available to anyone — members and non-members. You don't need to take Shine classes to rent the space.

What's included in my open space rental?

Access to whichever Shine studio rooms are scheduled as open (Aerial, Pole, or Dance Studio). Pole apparatus and aerial yoga hammocks are included at no extra cost. The Pole Studio also has cleaning alcohol and clean towels for pole sanitization. Hoops, silks, and carabiners rent separately ($10 / $10 / $5).

Can my class membership cover open space?

Class memberships and open space memberships are separate. If you want both — group classes plus self-directed practice time — you'd hold both. Many serious Shine students do exactly that.

How do I cancel the monthly membership?

No contract. To cancel, let us know the day before your next billing date. The membership renews on the same date each month (e.g., if you start on the 4th, it renews every 4th).

Can my 10-pack or monthly membership cover an outside instructor's lesson?

No. Open space passes are for self-practice only. Outside instructor private lessons are billed at $20/hour per person and are a separate purchase. Two different services, two different price points.

Do I need to reserve, or can I walk in?

Open space is walk-in only — no reservations. The calendar shows when rooms are scheduled to be open, but doesn't reflect current capacity. Even a room shown as available can be at capacity when you arrive. Capacity is allocated first-come, first-served. Call 702.685.1864 for a real-time capacity check before you head in.

How do I buy a drop-in pass, 10-pack, or monthly membership?

Passes and memberships are purchased in person at the studio front desk — not online through this page. Stop by during studio hours or call 702.685.1864 to set it up. We accept payment when you arrive for your first session.

Can I rent a studio for a photo or video shoot?

Yes — that's our Studio Rental service, separate from Open Space. Studio Rental gives you exclusive use of a specific studio for a defined time window. Common uses: photo shoots, headshots, Instagram and TikTok content, YouTube tutorials, and audition tapes. See Space Rental →

Can I rent a studio for a rehearsal or audition prep?

Yes — Studio Rental is the right service for any rehearsal needing exclusive use. Common uses: choreography rehearsals, audition prep, performance act run-throughs, show numbers, dance team practices, group rehearsals. Open Space drop-in passes don't guarantee a specific room or empty studio, so for rehearsal work where privacy matters, book a Studio Rental. See Space Rental →

What's the difference between Open Space and Studio Rental?

Open Space is shared, drop-in studio access during scheduled hours — you use whichever studio is open, alongside other open space users. Flat pricing: $20/day, $150/10-pack, $129/month.

Studio Rental is exclusive booking of a specific studio for a defined time window — your studio, your time, no other users. Variable pricing based on studio, time, and length.

Use Open Space for self-practice. Use Studio Rental for shoots, rehearsals, audition prep, and any private session needing exclusive access. See Space Rental →

READY TO USE THE STUDIO?

Open space is walk-in, first-come first-served — no reservations needed. Stop by the front desk to purchase a pass or sign up for a membership. If you have questions about availability, outside instructor lessons, or anything else, call or email ahead.
